I’m so excited to share my free printable St.Patrick’s Day I Spy for 2021! This a fun, no-prep activity that will keep little ones busy for half an hour, maybe an hour if you’re lucky! It is St.Paddy’s day after all.

This free printable game makes a perfect addition to any classroom, educational or even party setting, especially if your little ones love to learn about the mythical and magical backgrounds surrounding this holiday.

This free printable St.Patrick’s Day I Spy game is full of glitzy four leaf clovers, lucky coins and Irish themed decorations.

There are 8 objects or items to find in total. Each item is listed at the bottom of the free printable.

HOW DO YOU PLAY THE ST.PATRICK’S DAY I SPY GAME?

Super easy! It’s a bit like playing I Spy in real life, except on paper.

All you have to do is search for the objects listed at the bottom of the page, and count how many you find.

This activity also doubles up as a simple math activity for young ones.

To help tots keep count, I recommend encouraging them to ‘x’ out or cross out the item once they’ve found it. They can use different color pens or pencils to make it easier.

Once you’ve found the correct number of St.Patrick’s themed items, simply note them on the lines.

To make it a little more challenging, I’ve included one or two extra items that don’t need to be found or searched for.

HOW TO MAKE THE ST.PATRICK’S DAY PRINTABLE I SPY REUSABLE

To avoid excessive printing, especially in classroom settings where activities can be reused, I recommend trying one of the following:

Home Lamination

My home laminator is my best friend! I LOVE it. It makes life so much easier, and prevents wasting a ton of paper.

A home laminator is an investment, but they’re not too expensive. I bought the machine for around £30 ($40), and a pack of 100 laminating sheets for an extra £10 ($14).

There are more expensive laminating options out there, but as long as it offers ‘heat’ lamination, you’re good to go.

(Note: I’ve found cold lamination doesn’t work at all).

If you laminate, you can then use dry wipe markers and a wipe-cloth to keep the holiday fun going!

Use Dry Erase Pockets or PolyPockets:

Alternatively, place the printable in a super cool dry erase pocket.

They’re very simple to use and cost effective, especially if you want to reuse lots of printable games or activities.

For best results, I recommend printing on white card stock or least paper that’s a bit thicker than the standard printing bounds.

This free printable is sized to print on US letter paper (8.5 x 11 inch), but it looks perfect on A4 sized paper too.

It can take a few seconds to load the file, but don’t worry it’s there.
